How is the number of documents calculated?

Billing is calculated based on the maximum number of documents stored at any point during the billing period across all indexes in a project. Here’s how it works:

Our system tracks the total number of documents stored in your project. When you upload a large number of documents, we may need to increase the disk size to accommodate the data. Once the disk size is increased, it cannot be reduced, even if you delete documents later. Note that we report the usage of documents every 15 minutes.

Therefore, you will be charged based on the highest number of documents stored during the billing period. For example, if you store 1 million documents and then delete most of them, keeping only 10,000 documents, you will still be billed based on the maximum storage used, which is 1 million documents.

This approach ensures that our system can efficiently manage storage needs and provide the necessary resources for your data.

If you mistakenly upload a large number of documents, you can contact our support team for assistance.
