How does billing work?

Billing is determined by calculating the number of searches performed and documents stored during a billing cycle. If you exceed the number of searches or documents included in a billing cycle for a dedicated plan, you will be charged for additional usage. The pricing for additional usage varies per plan.

For the Build plan:
Additional search requests: $0.40 per 1,000 searches over the included amount.
Additional documents: $0.30 per 1,000 documents over the included amount.

For the Pro plan:
Additional search requests: $0.30 per 1,000 searches over the included amount.
Additional documents: $0.20 per 1,000 documents over the included amount.

Furthermore, billing is fulfilled per project rather than per account. This means that the search or documents units allocated to a particular project cannot be shared with other projects in your account.

The billing period starts when the first project is created and ends one month later. Payment is made upfront at the beginning of each billing cycle. However, should your usage exceed the allocated number of searches or documents, additional charges will apply, and these will be assessed and applied at the end of the billing month.
